Espresso roast - beans (grind selection available as below)
What's the story?
The Hozuki blend has been created by combining the 'Brazil Bom Jesus Labreda' with the 'Ethiopian Sidamo'. Our roasters have combined the two beans to create a balanced cup to be enjoyed as an everyday milk coffee or as a smooth black.
Our Brazilian bean is proudly sourced by Minas Hills, founded in 2012 as a green bean coffee distributor based in Australia whose focus is on sourcing high-quality specialty coffee that are unique, ethical and sustainable. Bom Jesus farm has been awarded in local and national competitions as one of the best coffees from Alta Mogiana region, the same region Minas Hill owner Marcelo Brussi's grandfather was born in 1913, inside a coffee farm would you believe!
Adding to our blend comes the Ethiopian Sidamo, working with Langdon Coffee Merchants, with over 40 years of combined experience in the coffee industry. Langdon Coffee Merchants pride themselves on exclusive partnerships with producers, working directly with growers with sustainability as a major focus.
How does it taste?
Our Brazilian side adds a big, buttery and structured body to deliver a creamy texture, doing what Brazil does best, adding a big bottom end to the blend. The Ethiopian side compliments beautifully with high notes, sweet flavours of tangy apricot, wine and berry to the cup.
This blend was created to deliver hazelnut chocolate sweetness, within a creamy caramel texture to end with a blueberry, jammy finish.
