Caprese Salad with Yuzu Salt

Ingredients (Serves 2)

• 2 large ripe tomatoes, sliced
• 200g fresh mozzarella, sliced
• Fresh basil leaves
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tspHaiku Yuzu Salt • Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
• 1 tsp balsamic glaze (optional, for extra sweetness)
• Fresh lemon zest (optional, for an added citrus note)

Directions

1. Prepare the ingredients: Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella into thick rounds. Set 
them out on a plate, alternating the slices of tomato, mozzarella, and fresh basil 
leaves.
2. Season with yuzu salt: Sprinkle the Haiku Yuzu Salt generously over the tomatoes and 
mozzarella to add a bright, citrusy kick.
3. Drizzle with olive oil: Lightly drizzle olive oil over the entire salad, making sure each 
slice gets a bit of flavor.
4. Optional additions: If desired, drizzle balsamic glaze over the salad for a touch of 
sweetness, and garnish with freshly ground black pepper and lemon zest for extra 
freshness.
5. Serve: Serve immediately as a refreshing appetizer or light side dish.
